Crown Street hosted its first ever Family Tea Party on Saturday, 5 September from 12-3pm.
Supported by Brentwood Borough Renaissance Group, shoppers had the chance to meet Mickey and Minnie Mouse, have their faces painted for free, joined in with the interactive storytelling from Chicken and Frog Bookshop, enjoyed complimentary teas and coffees from the Crown Street Café, were amazed by Seral Mehmet’s street magic, and checked out colourful bicycles from Brakes Bikes.
One of the event organisers, Vicky Fuller from Petits Cherubs, said:
“We were really pleased with how many people stopped by Crown Street to join our Tea Party. It was fantastic to see a lot of shoppers returning after their summer holidays, taking part in our event, and staying to check out all of our new product lines arriving for the Autumn.”
Clive Othen, Chair of the Brentwood Borough Renaissance Group, said:
“Crown Street always puts on great events, and we were pleased to support their end-of-summer Family Tea Party, which encouraged shoppers to visit this pedestrianised lane of independent boutiques and cafés.”
